Boosting the Profile of Your Business

Howdy! I'm Stanley and I'm here to help you to boost the profile of your business. I do not own or operate my own business. However, I am very interested in how small and medium-sized businesses work to raise their profile and increase sales. To find the answers to my questions, I set out to speak with local business owners here in Sydney. I have learnt so many cool things from these business owners, I just knew that I had to start writing this blog so I could share my knowledge with others. I hope you enjoy the articles posted here.

Features You Will Find on a Mobility Scooter

If you're planning to purchase your first mobility scooter, you may be wondering about the different features to look out for when shopping around. This article details some amazing features that can be found on a mobility scooter. Read on to find out more!

Adjustable seat

It can be beneficial to invest in a mobility scooter that has an adjustable seat. Adjustable seats will swivel around which can make getting off and on the scooter easier, especially if you have mobility issues. Some adjustable seats also feature foldable armrests that can also help you to get off and on the machine.

LED headlights

Some models have illuminated LED lights on the front and back of the scooter. These lights are particularly useful to see you clearly at night. They will also ensure that pedestrians and other road users can see you in the darkness.

Pneumatic tyres

Smaller and more basic models of scooters will typically be fitted with solid rubber tyres. The advantage of this type of tyre is that it cannot be punctured or run flat. However, solid rubber tyres do not provide as much cushioning and comfort as a pneumatic tyre. A pneumatic tyre is filled with high-pressure air, which means it gives a comfortable ride. However, if you opt for this type of tyre, it is important that you periodically have the tyre pressure checked.

Security systems

It is worthwhile considering the security systems featured on a scooter. While some mobility scooters feature a steering lock, which prevents the controls from being used without the key being used, you may wish to invest in a machine which also features an immobiliser. This will cut the power supply to the engine unless the correct key is used to start the scooter.

Battery indicator

While electric scooters are becoming increasingly efficient when it comes to battery life, you will still need to charge the machine now and again. A battery level indicator will enable you to keep an eye on the battery level. This is particularly useful as it allows you to plan ahead and charge the battery before a long trip.

Freewheel settings

When not switched on, scooters can be quite heavy to push around. However, if you invest in a mobility scooter with freewheel settings, you will be able to disengage the driveshaft so you can easily push the scooter.
